The group's case is not about whether the facility uses water; every data center does. It is about whether this specific aquifer, in this specific community, can absorb that draw on top of everything else already pulling from it.
A number this large — one million gallons a day — is easy to read as an abstraction. What would it take for a number like that to register the way a personal account does, the way a name and a face do?
